Film title

Based on the knowledge of the sequence of the scenes and the whole idea of the trailer being established, I felt that it would be easier to come up with the title of the film at this stage in the pre production process. I began by brainstorming rough ideas based on the theme and conventions of the film.

I decided to pick my top three movie titles which I thought are the most appealing and would be most successful. To make the process unbiased, I carried out a small survey and asked 27 people (aged 12-18) the following question with the following answers and results:

Based on the results seen above, it is visible that all three titles came pretty close however the one that people found most appealing was 'An educated kill' which I am happy to follow up with the decision that this will be the the title for my film.

Production logo and name development

Based on my creative observation into film companies, I have come up with a production name and logo design. I have also carried out a quick survey asking 16-18 year old's about their opinion on my company names and which one they liked most. Based on the results, it is visible that Mountain Peak Production was the most popular of them all, although I was considering film maker entertainment as one of the two.

Below are the three designs of my company logo which I have constructed. The designs are quite basic, however I have created different designs, used different colours selected different font styles and sizes. My initial logo design has been inspired by the big film companies including Columbia, Paramount and Summit. I also realized that based on Summit, my logo does not need to be very detailed and sometimes simple sketches and outlines are highly effective. Regardless, I am planning to choose my favourite logo (the top one) and experiment further in Photoshop.
