Images for the magazine

1st Photo-shoot (sample contact sheet)

After choosing a selection of images from the following photo-shoot, I put them into a contact sheet whilst annotating why some images were not appropriate to choose from. The circled thumbnail is the image featuring on the left hand side, and this will be my final image for the front cover since it feels very cinematic and Hollywood-like. I will edit this photo in Photoshop in order to enhance the colors and increase the aesthetic quality of the final image.

2nd Photo-shoot (sample contact sheet)

I decided to chose this image because of the bold facial expression. Although the body language is not typical when posing for a magazine article, I am planning to crop the image, and really wanted to get a strong character visible from the model's facial expression. I also chose dark clothing and low key lighting to emphasize on the dark side of the story of the film.

Featuring photographs

The following photographs are not mine, however I got permission to use them by Grant Arthur for my work. Here is his website. I thought they were perfect to feature in my magazine since they have a very cinematic feeling considering their surroundings and event within the photograph.

Featuring photograph taken by me

This was my only image that I considered as appropriate for the magazine. I used Photoshop to darken the sky and make it look more dramatic, whilst brightening and adding contrast to the plane itself to make it stand out against the sky. I then added a picture of an explosion which I found on google and added it to my image manipulation.
